2024–2027 CBA & 25/26 salary contingency
May 13, 2026

Faculty ratified the current Collective Bargaining Agreement in October 2024. Among other provisions, the CBA includes Salary Increase Contingency Language for both the 25/26 and 26/27 fiscal years, tying the size of the increase to revenue the District generates under the State's Student-Centered Funding Formula (SCFF).

The contingency language: if the District receives SCFF revenue in excess of $262,433,892 for FY 2025–2026, the District provides 23.58% of the additional revenue as a one-time payment at the end of the fiscal year using the State Chancellor's Office P2 available revenue. The equivalent amount is converted to a percentage increase added to the 2026–2027 Regular and Contract Faculty Salary Schedules effective Fall 2026.

The funding is contingent on SCFF metrics: full-time-equivalent students (FTES), first-year transfer-level English and Math completion, degrees and certificates awarded, and transfers to CSU and UC. Current data from the report: P1 FTES is up 5.8% districtwide; preliminary 26/27 budget assumes ~$282.6M, which after adjusting for an estimated 2.4% COLA produces an estimated 25/26 earned revenue of ~$275.8M. The proportionate share above the threshold: ~$3,154,629.

Preliminary estimates: an ongoing percentage increase of approximately 4.38% across all 2026–2027 salary schedules, plus a one-time payment of approximately $5,633 per faculty member, paid in the June 30, 2026 pay period. These figures remain subject to change pending the P2 report (April 2026), state funding adjustments (May 2026), and final settle-up calculations at the end of May.

The full salary increase overview report is available in the Documents Library.
